Winter Shoes

A staple of most winter wardrobes, particularly if you work in an office environment is the black court shoe.  Looking for the perfect black shoes seems easy enough but you’d be surprised how difficult it can be to find shoes that go with skirts, pants and jeans.  The heels can’t be too high as even in an office there is some walking even if it is only to the photocopier or coffee machine.  I prefer a pointy toe for under skirts as round toes don’t suit all ankles, but a slightly round toe can look a little more casual than a pointy toe for office wear. Here are some that I found in Limerick shops.

These are from Shoe Rack (Cruises Street and Sasha branches) and are €40.  These are the perfect shape for me and I love the hardwear.

These are from Faith, Margaret who contributes to Style Treaty was sporting these under Jeans in town on Saturday night and they looked very well.

Dorothty Perkins has a huge collection of black courts on their website, I’ll need to check if they are all available in Limerick, but here are some that caught my eye.

These are very Audrey Hepburn, the low heel make them perfect for work although the more I look at them they remind me a uniform for the Bank!!!

The patent and cross over strap make these a bit more interesting; if you have nice ankles these would be perfect.

Here are some classic black courts; suitable for day and evening wear.

Of course, boots are the ultimate winter wardrobe staple, I found some nice boots on the Next website and they also do a wide fit in case your calves are less than perfect.
