Limerick’s new Sunday Market
The Limerick Blogger has already mentioned the Sunday Market and has featured some of Fústars photos but here is a rundown of the stalls that cought my eye.
Firstly, Mia Designs had some amazing handmade clothes, from funky tshirts like this one

To this amazing dress.

You can check out more of Maria’s stuff here.
Secondly, Brians Baskets. Brian had an fabulous selection of baskets with him, unfortunately my picture didn’t come out but here’s a pic from his own website of the Utensil holder that I was admiring.

Thirdly, Neasa Murphy designs. Neasa had a very impressive jewellery collection for sale on the day made from Dichroic Glass (which was originally created by NASA for the Aerospace industry!!)

You’ll find better pictures here.
And finally (for this week anyway) Spudgun Ink by Martin Shannon, who had these hilarious t-shirts of Willie O Dea

And best of all these gorgeous tea-cosies which were €25 each.

The market also featured some of the usual farmers market traders such as the fudge lady, the indian food guy, the soup lady and the cheese lady. If you’re a market regular, you’ll know who I’m talking about. Oh, and there were even buskers..

Anyway, the Sunday market is well worth a visit however would have been far more enjoyable had the weather been a bit better.
Check it out next week if you can.

The tee-shirt guy also had some hilarious Stab City shirts. We all fell around laughing, it was so funny. You know, Stab City? Funny, yeah? Stab? The World’s Most Original Joke?
Did you know that the Indian guy is from Scunthorpe, which created an immediate bond between us? He was a trifle bemused to meet the only Scunthorpe United supporter in Limerick, and possibly in all Munster.
The next time you go, you must visit Ruth’s stall and buy a small painting for very reasonable money.
