King’s Shoes - 34 O’Connell Street

Way back in the summer I did a post about my trip to Scotland and in that post I moaned about the fact that Limerick needed some new shoe shops to give us Limerick shoe lovers a bit more choice!! Last weekend I received an email from Kristian at King’s shoes (34 O’ Connell Street) asking me to call into King’s to see their range of shoes. I called in last Monday when i was in town. He wasn’t exaggerating when he sain that they stock a large selection of Italian and international brands that are exclusive to Limerick. The shop is pretty small but there was loads to choose from.
I would say that their target market would be similar to Carl Scarpa or Shoe Flair!! To be honest, they were a bit our of my price range, the two pairs that really caught my eye were both €275!! One was a pair of black sandals that had diamante straps but they were so subtle that they almost looked like real diamonds!!

King’s shoes is definitely a great addition to Limerick’s shoe scene and some day (maybe when I sell the Style Treaty brand for millions!!!!) I will definitely go in and buy those black sandals (I’m drooling even thinking about them!!)

I still stand by my opinion that Limerick needs more shoe choice we definitely need more mid-priced shops like Office or Shuh. Faith and Whacky Shoes and sometimes Brown Thomas are great but we need more of them!!!!
In the meantime check out King’s Shoes on-line!!

We NEED a “Schuh”. I Love it. Without doubt the best shoe shop there is. I particularly like their “Irregular Choice” range. Did you know “Schuh” is now open on Patrick Street in Cork. At least it’s a bit nearer than Dublin!

I agree - Limerick really needs more shoe shops. However, Style Treaty definitely needs fewer exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! etc…..

I didn’t know Limerick had a big shoe scene.

    The mind boggles.

Laura, I’m glad you raised that point, she’s being doing that to me for years.

You should see the text messages she used to send when I first went out with her, more exclamation marks than letters. The strange thing is that it becomes addictive and you start putting exclamation marks in your own writing inadvertently.

I’ll have a word with her at Style Treaty HQ and will install an exclamation mark filter in Wordpress. :)

I’m with Laura and Maz’s significant other on this one I think! I’m all for using the old ! when needed, and more than one if i like, but to be honest, there isn’t anything exciting about the fact that the target market would be similar to shoe flair or carl scarpa. I suppose it show’s passion for your work anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Ok this is turning into a witch hunt. I’ll control the use of the ! in future posts.

Thanks Marian for your comments and feedback -
We not only stock exclusive designer shoe brands but also great styles at affordable prices 55 - 120 Euros from across Europe and beyond. At the moment we are offering 25% off on many of the ranges in store - so perhaps those black sandals are more within your price range now! Best wishes with your website - Kris
