Autumn Winter 2006

If you’ve gotten your hands on any fashion magazines lately you’ll have seen some of the trends for Autumn/Winter 2006. If not, check out Fashion Era. Over the next few days I’m going to post about the trends that I think are the easiest to work into your own wardrobe. Today I’m going to concentrate on Country Knits, Tweeds and Tartans. The picture below is from Dolce and Gabbana.

Obviously I can’t see that particular outfit working when you’re in the Jasmins for your Sunday Buffet but knits are a really easy trend to follow. Cosy cardies, jumpers, hats and scarves are what winter is all about. For autumn keep fabrics light and then switch to wool for real winter weather. Check out these looks from Next.

Tartans and tweed are really popular aswell. These are from Alexander McQueen.

There are lots od tartans in Zara at the moment and check out this coat from Next.
